WHAT IS MOLD?

WHAT IS MOLD?

Mold is a type of fungus that appears in areas of a home that have been exposed to water. In order for mold to develop, it requires a combination of moisture, warmth, and organic matter to feed on. There are over a thousand variations of mold, both toxic and non-toxic that can thrive in a home.

WHY IS MOLD DANGEROUS?

Millions of microscopic mold spores are easily transported in the air we breathe. It is estimated that over 30 percent of humans are allergic to mold and suffer adverse health effects because of mold. The EPA strongly recommends hiring a professional mold specialist to thoroughly and effectively remove toxic mold spores before the problem worsens and becomes a health risk. Aside from the foul odor, exposure to toxic mold spores has been proven by the EPA to cause allergic reactions such as;

• Fatigue

• Allergies

• Hay Fever

• Psoriasis

• Lung Disease

• Dizziness

• Muscular Aches

• Runny Nose

• Wheezing

• Asthma

• Headaches

• Red Eyes

• Psychological Depression

• Respiratory Problems

Exposure to mold is not healthy for anyone inside buildings. Some people may have more severe symptoms or become ill more rapidly than others:

• Individuals with existing respiratory conditions

• Persons with weakened immune systems

HERE IS HOW WE WORK!

Ark Mold Inspection Services sends a

certified technician to perform a full inspection of the property. We take air cassette samples both indoors and outdoors for comparison, as well as swab samples which are then sent to an independent laboratory. These tests are performed in order to determine the type of fungi present, the rate at which it is spreading, as well as its severity, and the source of formation.

A comprehensive report will then be provided to the client clarifying the lab results, interpreting the infrared camera images and moisture readings, and describing the process necessary to eliminate the mold. Ark Mold Inspection Services will then evaluate your situation and determine the most effective method to remove the fungus and prevent any future mold growth from occurring.
